The oil exploration of Lower Yangtze region with rich oil and gases has not been making a greater breakthrough because of its complicated geological structure in recent years, especially in Mesozoic and Paleozoic exploration. Therefore, it is significant to study on the structural characteristics of this region in order to further clarify the exploration and discovery favorable structural areas.This thesis accessed to a large number of documents and tight tracks scientific frontier and the latest research results of Lower Yangtze region. In addition,it got the fine structure interpretation which is regarded as the point of penetration on the structural characteristics, the main fracture characteristics, structural evolution and dynamic mechanism and typical tectonic styles of the Lower Yangtze area on the Suqian - Shaoxing regional section by studying the NG-13 and GR52.2 seismic lines and being combined with the drilling and gravity magnetic data, field geological outcrop information, etc..Regional integrated interpretation section shows that in Lower Yangtze region, Mesozoic and Paleozoic with Nanjing-Zhenjiang hedge as the boundary is north-south tectonic compression pattern. Two thrust systems of north-south can be divided into the root zone which has the highest intensity of structural deformation and develops a series of high angle thrust fault, the middle zone that, with the minimum deformation, mainly develops large-relief folds and the frontal zone which develops hedge structure. The study suggests that the dynamic power source mainly comes from the subduction and collision between Yangtze plate and Cathaysia along Jiangshan-Shaoxing fault and also the subduction and collision along Indo-China and Yanshanian Yangtze plate to the Jiangsu-Jiaonan line. The Mesozoic and Cenozoic Structural framework of Lower Yangtze region is mainly controlled by the change of direction for the subduction between Pacific plate and East Asia and the extrusion from Indian plate.This thesis also analysises the typical ectonic styles which can mainly be divided into 3 styles including compressional tectonic style, extensional tectonic style and inversion tectonic style in Suqian - Shaoxing regional section.
