Virtual manufacture technology is combined traditional manufacture with information technology, and has been a hot spot and front subject of manufacturing, with certain theoretical value and practical significance. Its core is simulation of NC manufacture, and the simulation has a practical significance for improving NC machining quality and efficiency when physical simulation and cutting parameters optimization are researched. This paper has researched physical simulation and optimization of NC milling, The multi-objective optimal model of cutting parameters is set up based on simulation database, when milling parameters are design variable, optimization objects function are the milling time, the milling cost and the profit ratio, and machining information are constraints. As the model has several decision variables and constraints, complex objective functions, the operators'process of selection, crossover, mutation and adaptation function have been improved in improved principle of genetic algorithm, and its validity and feasibility are verified by classical testing functions of genetic algorithm. The optimized model and algorithm are correctness by experiments. At last, a overall framework of NC milling physical simulation and optimization system has been proposed, which integrated parameters optimization function. Then the system of NC milling physical simulation and optimization is developed with VC++, ACESS database and other tools. The rationality of system model is verified by cutting experiments, and this simulation method to choose cutting parameters has some guiding significance, so that quality can be guaranteed, efficiency can be improved and cost is reduced.
