Offshore drilling platforms are hot spots in offshore structure project recently, which is also a hot research spot in China. Manufacturing Accuracy Control is the key to ensure the performance and operational life span of offshore drilling platform. This paper is to presents the study and application of manufacturing accuracy control technique by taking example of NDB semi-submersible drilling platform owned by USA Noble Drilling LLC Ltd. in terms of the following perspectives:1. General manufacturing accuracy control target and plan of NDB project has been made as per ABS rules and Noble requirement.2. Taking bracings which connect decks, pontoons and columns as an instance, strength of some existing bracings is not adequate enough, which should be replaced. Moreover, as the size of forward drilling platform increase, more bracings should be added for structural connection. This paper will explicit the accuracy control during existing bracing replacement, new bracing fabrication and installation as per theoretical calculation.3. For fit-up of new hanging deck block, scientific and rational fit-up position and location is determined as per FEM(Finite Element Method) calculation and analysis to ensure the levelness of deck and safe & smooth progress of the project.4. In view of dynamic position requirement, 8 thrusters need to be installed under the pontoons. Combined with owner's accuracy control requirement, feasible accuracy control plan of thruster foundation installation, thruster motor foundation installation and fabrication has been established.
