This paper mainly researched the quality of Yueqing Bay, Aiwan Bay, and Dagang Bay all of which were the main aquiculture zone in the intertidal area of Wenling city. The measuring and evaluating contents were about surface seawater indexes including temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, COD, Petroleum, inorganic nitrogen, phosphate, chlorophyll-a and fecal coliform, sediment indexes including sulfide, organic carban, cadmium, lead, total mercury, arsenic, BHC, DDT, polychlorinated biphenyl and fecal coliform, and organism quality indexes including petroleum, copper, cadmium, lead, total mercury, arsenic, DDT, polychlorinated biphenyl, DSP, PSP and fecal coliform.The result showed the pollution of pH, dissolved oxygen was low, and all accorded the second class marine water quality standard, COD was basically accorded second class marine water quality standard except the water in summer of 2007 year in Yueqing Bay, while there were different degrees of petroleum pollutants in the three bays. The main pollutants were inorganic nitrogen and phosphate, and this phenomenon was consistent with the high content of nutritive salts in offshore sea areas which were caused by the polluted diluted water in Zhejing province. In sediments, the content of organic carbon, petroleum, BHC, DDT, polychlorinated biphenyl, sulfide, total mercury, arsenic, cadmium and lead were all in line with the first class marine sediment quality standard, while fecal coliform was beyond the first class standard. The total nitrogen and total phosphate were in line with the standard of Technical Regulation of the Second National Marine Pollution Baseline Survey. Therefore, the evaluation results showed that the sediment quality was basically in good condition.The organism quality monitoring results showed that except the content of petroleum in perch was beyond the first class standard of Yueqing Bay in 2007, the other monitor indexes were in line with first class marine organism quality standard, and in particular, PSP and DSP were not detected at all.In addition, on the base of monitoring data, we evaluated the water, sediment and organism quality using single factor pollution index method, eutrophication index method, organic Pollution index method and potential ecological risk index method. The results initially proved the variable trend of parts of evaluation indexes, the source of main pollutants, and the environmental effects. This research afforded basic data for the species and the capacity of coastal aquaculture, and the basic research to the safety of the aquatic products, all of which had practical significance and application value for promoting the sustainable coastal aquaculture development in Wenling city.
