This paper consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, the developments of ion chromatography were reviewed with 109 literatures. The theories and applications were introduced in the second chapter. The pretreatment methods of components in organic samples were introduced in the first section. In the second section of chapter 2, a kind of Antiarrhythmic-Amiodarone Hydrochloride was pretreated by oxygen-flask combustion firstly. Iodine was reduced to F that was determined by ion chromatography. Comparing this method with titration proposed in the Dictionary of Medicine, there is no significant difference between the two methods with F-test. The method of IC is simpler and faster than titration. In the third chapter, a method of simultaneous analysis of both organic acids and inorganic ions was made by single-column anion exchange chromatography. The components in persimmon leaves were determined by this method which is characterized by rapidity and sensitivity.
