Abstract In this article, Plate deformation and microstructure development during hot rolling have been studied and simulated by computer in this article, its achievement are theoretically significant and practically valuable to the development of thermomechanical theory. Based on the thermal conveying law, the temperature model during air coiling and hot roiling is established by seperated viriabie method, the value in any time being solved by repeatedly replacing method. With the metal plastic deformation theory, the theory model for instantaneous velocity,strain, strain velocity and stress, are established for unequal deformation, and also the model for unit press is improved. The distribution of temperature, strain and strain velocity are the basis for predicting metal microstructure and mechanical properties after rolling. And so, the macro-model for plate rolling and micro-model for microstructure development are coupled to solve the hot rolling problem. The value of temperature,velocity, strain, stress and microstructure dev- elopment during hot rolling, may be answered by the coupled model. With the comparision of simulating result and experiment result, the established model is proved to be highly accurate, and may be used in practical hot rolling.
