| Reduction smelting is very important to the metallurgy. At present, the most reduction processes are carried out at the normal atmosphere and only a few metals are produced at the vacuum condition. On the base of the advantages of vacuum reduction and the weaknesses of traditional Process, it is necessary to study on a new thermic smelting technology on reduction smelting of MgO. In this research, material preparation is the first step and very important.In the course of the material preparation for Vacuum Carbon thermic Reduction of MgO, we drew a conclusion after many experiments. In this paper, a short introduction is given for how to press the mixture made of MgO, C, Mgp2 water into fastness nodulizing. As a very important detail, the weight ratio of the powder materials and water is given also. The diameter of the nodulizing is 3cm, the height is l-3cm.In the middle range of temperature, coking coal in the nodulizing bring out coal tar, this coal tar can make the nodulizing fastness. In the course of coking, the temperature and the sort of coal is important. To avoid the coal in the nodulizing oxidize; keeping the reducing atmosphere is very important. In the coking of the nodulizing, the ratio of apertures can controls by temperature and the weight of the powder coking coal. At last, we bring out the baked nodulizing come up to the use of reduction smelting.Our experimental apparatus is a sealed electric tubular furnace, heated to 700C by electricity in reduction condition and hold to 30 minutes. |
