The studies of applications of low-pressure ion chromatography with chemiluminescence detector were carried out in this work. There are two parts in the dissertation.A review of the application of low-pressure ion chromatography with chemiluminescence detection is descried in the first one, and then some research reports are given in the other part. Some kinds of ions were separated and determined by low-pressure ion chromatography with chemiluminescence detections, and therefore good results were obtained.1. Determination of Trace amounts of Chloride ion in Triphenyl phosphine by Low-pressure Ion ChromatographyA method was developed for the determination of trace amounts of chloride ion in triphenyl phosphine sample by low-pressure ion chromatography with conductive detection. The eluent used was 1.5 mmol/L Na2CO3. Calibration curves showed good linearity with r = 0.9994 (at 0.01-4 mg/L). The detection limit of chloride by this method was 5 ug/L. This method is simple and accurate, of good stability and sensitivity, so it has been used satisfactorily to analyze triphenyl phosphine sample in factory.2. On-line Determination of Trace Cu (II) in Water Sample by Low-pressure Ion Chromatography with Chemiluminescence DetectionThe separation and determinations of Cu( II) in tap water and river water samples were investigated by low-chromatography combined with chemiluminescence. The separation and detection conditions were studied. Oxalic acid was used as an eluent, and luminol-H2O2-Cu2+ system as the chemiluminescence one. 10-2 mol/L oxalic acid(pH=4.2), 5x10-4mol/L luminol (pH=12), 10-2 mol/L H2O2 were used as the work conditions. The linear range for the determination of Cu( II) is 0.4~6mg/L. The detection limit is 0.1 mg/L for Cu( II).3. On-line Determination of Trace Nitrite in Food Sample by Low-pressure Ion Chromatography with Chemiluminescence DetectionThe separation and determination of nitrite in food samples was carried out by low ion chromatography with chemiluminescence detection. The separation and detection conditions were studied. Oxalic acid was used as an eluent, and luminol-H2O2- system as the chemiluminescence one. 10-2 mol/L oxalic acid (pH=4.2), SxlCT4mol/L luminol (pH=12), 10-2 mol/L H2O2were used as the work conditions. A good linear range for NO2- is 10x10g/mL. The detection limit is 5 10-9 g/mL. The relative standard deviation (RSD) for 1.0x10-7g/mLNO2- is 3.1%.4. On-line Determination of Transitional Metal Ions by Low-pressure Ion Chromatography with Chemiluminescence DetectionThe separations and determinations of five types of transitional metal ions such as Co(II) Cu(II) Mn(II Fe(II) Cr(III) by low-pressure ion chromatograph with chemiluminescence detection were investigated first time. The separation was carried out on C3 column by using a step gradient elution made by the mobile phases of oxalic acid and citric acid, the five types of transitional metal ions can be separated simultaneously. Luminol-H2O2-Mn+ systems were used as the flow injection chemiluminescence analysis system. Under the optimum conditions with 5x10-4mol/L luminol, 5x10-2 mol/L H2O2 and 0.02 mol/L NaOH, the linear range for Co(II) is 1x10-9~lxl0'7 g/mL, Cu(II) lx10-7-6x10-6g/mL, Mn( II) 6x10-8- 4x10-6 g/mL, Fe(II) 3 x 10-8-5 x 10'6 g/mL and Cr(III) 2.5 x 10-8-1 x 10-6 g/mL; the detection limit for Co( II) is 8.5x10-10 g/mL, Cu(II) 8.5x10-8 g/mL, Mn(II) 4.2x10-8 g/mL, Fe(II) 2.1x10-8 g/mL and Cr(III) 2.0x10'8 g/mL. The present method is simple, rapid, accurate and has been successfully applied to detect Co(II) in vitamin Bj2 and Co(II Cu(II) Mn(II) Fe(II) Cr(III) in human hair samples with satisfactory results, and the results are agreed well with those provided by AAS.5 On-line Determination of Zn( II) Cd(H) by Low-pressure Ion Chromatographywith Chemiluminescence DetectionThe separations and determinations of Zn( II ) Cd( II) by low-pressure ion chromatography with chemiluminescence detection were investigated first time. The separation was carried out on C3 column...
