The studies of novel application of low-pressure ion chromatography with chemiluminescence detection were carried out in this dissertation, which consists of two parts.The- first part is a review concerning the low-pressure ion chromatography and chromatography technology with post-column chemiluminescence detection, and then some research reports were given in the other part. Some kind of ions were separated and determined by low-pressure ion chromatography with chemiluminescence detection, and therefore good results were obtained.1. Determination of Trace Manganese (II) by Low Pressure Ion Chromatography Using Inorganic Mobile Phase with Chemiluminescence DetectionThe separation and determination of Mn (II) were investigated by low-pressure chromatography combined with chemiluminnescence. The separation and detection conditions were studied. Potassium chloride and hydrochloric acid were used as eluent, and luminol-H2O2 system as the chemiluminnescence one. 0.09 mol. L-1 potassium chloride, 0.01 mol. L-1 hydrochloric acid, 4.0 10-4 mol. L-1 luminol, 4.010-3mol.L-1 H2O2 were as the optimum conditions. The linear range for the determination of Mn (II) is 1.0 10-9~4.0 10-8g.L-1. The detection limit is 1.0 10-9g.L-1. The present method is simple, rapid, accurate and has been successfully applied to detect Mn (II) in blood serum. The average recovery was 108%.2 Determination of Trace Calcium (II) by Low pressure Ion Chromatography with Chemiluminescence DetectionThe Luminol-H2O2-Ni 2+ Chemiluminescence (CL) reaction and its follow-up CL reaction catalyzed by alkaline-earth metal ion were studied. Based on the follow-up reaction, a novel method for the determination of Calcium was developed by low-pressure ion chromatography with Chemiluminescence detection. The optimum conditions for the determination and separation were evaluated. The linear range for the determination of Calcium (II) is 8.0 10-8~6.4 10-6 g.mL-1 (r=0.9998) and the detection limit is 5.4 xlO"8 g.mL-1. The present method is simple, rapid, and accurate and has been successfully applied to detect Calcium (II) in creamery with satisfactory results, which were in good agreement with those from atomic absorption spectrometry.3 A Novel Flow Injection Chemiluminescence Method for the Determination of Mercury(II) , Zinc(II) , Cadmium(II) Based on Luminol-K3Fe(CN)6 System Followed-up Chemiluminescence ReactionThe Luminol-K3Fe(CN)6 system Chemiluminescence (CL) reaction and its follow-up CL reaction catalyzed by Mercury(II), Zinc(II), Cadmium(II) were studied. The optimum conditions for the determination of Mercury (II) were evaluated. The linear range for the determination of Mercury (II) is 1.0 10-9~7.0xlO~7 g.mL"1 (r=0.9996) and the detection limit is 5.6x10-10 g.mL-1. As the same optimum conditions, the linear range for the determination of Zinc (II) is 1.0 10-8~5.4 10-6g.mL"' (r=0.9992); the linear range for the determination of Cadmium (II) is 5.0 10-2.5 10-6g.mL-1 (r=0.9994).
