Research Of New Type Of Measurement Method For Vehicle Exhaust Emission Gearing To The Latest Regulation

Vehicle exhaust emission test according to the national regulation is unpopular for its high investment in experiment equipments and high test cost. In this paper, a new type of measurement method is presented. Based on the method an on-board vehicle exhaust emission test system is developed. While the vehicle is running on the road in accordance with the test mode specifications in the national regulation, the microcontroller do a real-time sampling to each parameter of the exhausted pollutants and then send the data to PC by serial communication. PC will calculate the instantaneous values of each pollutant after the processing. By means of the numerical integral method, the total emission amount is got.Through experiments and data analysis, the test system has a good stability.
