At present, the car has become one of the most important and convenient means of transport of our people's travel. The pollutant in the automobile exhaust seriously harm the environment in the atmosphere. Carbon monoxide in the urban atmosphere mostly come from the automobile exhaust emissions. Carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas that caused by the cars started not only pollute the environment in the atmospheric conditions, but also destroy people's health. So making the research facility for testing the concentration of carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas is extremely necessary and significant.We introduce the design plan of the carbon monoxide test in the automobile exhaust detailedly, then we introduce the circuit design of each module and the software design in the PC. The detection device can collect the data. And the data can be showed and stored, at the same time the detection device also have the functions of warming. In addition, we can make the data that we collected showed in the PC by serial port communication technology.We can take the use of the method of TSIC to test our detection device. The test results show that the detection device can range from 10 to 1000 ppm and the device designed in the thesis has great applied value in testing the concentration of carbon monoxide in the automobile exhaust.
