In these paper precious studies on the nano-particles modifying of polymers, the development of polyurethane resin, and the nano-modification of polyurethane have been reviewed, The influence of polyurethane synthesis technology to its performance has been studied, PU/montmori-llonite(MMT),PU/nano-SiO2,PU/nano-CaCO3,PU/MMT/ nano-SiO2, nano-composites have been synthesised, and effect of many factors on the properties of nano-composites has been discussed, the sketch map of the microstructure of nano-composites has been proposed.The results of the study indicate: The performance of PU can increased obviously by improving synthetic technology; The fracture strength and the elongation at break of PU/nano-SiO2 and PU/nano-CaCO3 nano-composites by in-situ polymerization are a lot higher than pristine PU; The mechanical properties PU/MMT nano-composites by interclay polymerization is greatly increased; Its fracture strength is 42.6Mpa relatively with 30.72Mpa of pristine PU, its elongation at break is 739.8% relatively with 430.5% of pristine PU when the quality percentage of MMT is 1%; and the heat decomposition temperature is increased to 298℃ relatively with 287 ℃ of pristine PU; Further, the PU/MMT/SiO2 nano-composites has been synthesised, its fracture strength and elongationat break are separately 44.33Mpa and 760.5%.
