Drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid contain a lot of organic matter and toxic heavy metal ion, which are harmful solid waste product during drilling operation, all oilfields of our country discharge about 6000000 tons every year. The discharge of abandoned product created serious environmental pollution and must be brought under control. According to the Ninth Five-Year Plan and Scientific Planning of Liaohe Petroleum Exploration Bureau about preventing pollution, for the problem of drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid pollution, we selected initially four kinds of material as proposed additive to control drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid. Many laboratory experiments, intermediate test and industrialized study of the on-line processing were carried out, and use quadrature experiment to define the optimum mixture ratio and economic addition of various material, we have developed drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid innocent additive-ZJY ADDITIVE, and designed assorted treatment equipment. This study have provided effective method for controlling environmental pollution resulted by drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid.This paper summarized research and industrialized application experiments of ZJY ADDITIVE, major results are: (1) the formulation of ZJY ADDITIVE is a kind of mixture of fly ash, MgCli and CaCla, phosphate fertilizer, poly-aluminium chloride. The mixture ratio is 10 : 15 : 5 : 1, economic addition 8%; (2) the detection of pollution product leaching concentration through multiple leaching, long time soaking and long time buried; the detection of result by intermediate test and industrialized experiment; the examine of pollutant toxic seepage during buring into soil, all these tests are proved effective and long time stability of ZJY ADDITIVE for controlling drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid; (3) developed assorted industrial processing equipment of impeller-agitating and helical propelling deslagging operation. We succeeded in on-line processing for drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid during drilling operation.The experiment result indicated this achievement is the most economic effectivemethod in controlling drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid pollution at home. The treatment cost is 43Y/T , the leaching toxic of 11 pollutants in post-treatment drilling cuttings and waste drilling fluid were detected, in which pH value is reduced from more than 12 to 9; COD is reduced from over 4000mg/L to 500mg/L; petroleum is reduced from >3000mg/L to <10mg/L; total chrome is reduced from 100mg/L to
