Waste disposal is a global environmental problem,and a lot of waste drilling fluid will be produced after the operation of oil fields.In this paper,the waste environmental protection drilling fluid is regarded as the research object to fix sand and control sand,which can improve the ecological nvironment around the well site while treating oil field waste,change sand into "soil",and ensure the sustainable development of the ecological environment,and promote the formation of a virtuous cycle of the environment.This paper studied eight kinds of environmental protection drilling fluids,four kinds of systems and three aspects of sand control technology.Evaluating the sand fixation and control effect of waste drilling fluids by compressive strength,water-holding and water retention properties,permeability and plant cultivation experiments and other indicators.The experimental conclusions are as follows.(1)CMC has high compressive strength and water retention after sand fixation,but the plants cannot survive after its dosage reaches 1.2%;However,most drilling fluid materials are beneficial to plant growth at a low dosage,and their compressive strength can reach more than 1 MPa,and their water retention is also enhanced,among which PVA is the best.(2)The thermal stability of the sample was good after treatment,and the anti-wind erosion performance was enhanced,up to 86.96%and 86.58%respectively.The water-holding and water retention properties of the sample were also enhanced,among which CMC-F was the best.Although CMC-F has many striking properties after sand control,it is not suitable for plant growth.From the perspective of plant growth,the renewable rubber powder-F was the best and CMC-F was the worst.The purpose of sand control was achieved by using only drilling fluid and loose sand and sand-fixation to planting crops successfully.The phenomenon of "bridging" between sand grains was found by the analysis of microstructure,which also provided a theoretical basis for the "soil" change into sand.(3)Utilizing environmentally friendly drilling fluid to control sand can improve the particle size distribution of solid phase.When the amount of drilling fluid is small,the ideal anti-wind erosion performance can be obtained.However,the drilling fluid has certain inhibitory effect on the germination and growth of plants,the larger the dosage is,the more obvious the inhibitory effect is.When the ratio of sand to slurry was 1:1,5 kinds of plants were selected to grow and survive.Environmental protection drilling fluid can meet the requirements of well site drilling index,enhance the quality of sand and soil so as to achieve the effect of sand control.Under the combined action of plant and drilling fluid,the effect of sand fixation and control can be further strengthened.In summary,it can be seen that the use of environmentally friendly waste drilling fluid to control sand can not only meet the international standards of sand fixation but also enhance the quality of sand and soil,and a variety of crops can be planted,indicating that it's a feasible way to control sand by utilizing the environmentally friendly waste drilling fluid.This study realizes the resourceful treatment of oil field waste,and has certain theoretical guiding significance to the development and application of sand control technology as well as has certain economic,environmental and social benefits,which is conducive to the harmonious development of petroleum industry and ecological environment.
