The main aim of this paper is research systematically on the crosslinked gel of polyacrylamide. The kinds, crosslinking mechanisms and influence of technical condition on gel, etc are researched. By the research we can provide certain theories foundation and guidance for the preparation and application of the crosslinked gel.Firstly we research and discuss the various kinds crosslinked gel systems of polyacrylamide with many prices metal ion, aldehyde and phenolic resin. The crosslinking mechanisms, formulation, suitable pH value and the property of these gel systems are researched. We also research the mechanisms, kinds, formulation and the gel property of complex crosslinked gel systems which have the induced function and the harmonious effect. Finally the complex crosslinked gel system of chromium (VI) are used for anexample in the paper. We research and summarize the influence laws of technical condition on the gel property. These factors are consist of the dosage of partial hydrolyze polyacrylamide and crosslinking agent, temperature of system, pH value and various additives. By the fractul structure theory of macromolecular gel above these laws are further explained and described. From the experiment the results and conclusions are expressed as follows: First, the formation of partial hydrolyze polyacrylamide gel is a fractul growing process, and the crosslinking group of polyacrylamide gel with many prices metals is acid radical, and two polymer is active centriole of metals ion in crosslinking. Second , the complex gel system can obviously ameliorate gel property, and is a new step which has a development foreground. Third, the technical condition is a important influence factor on the gel that has certain gel laws, and some suitable additives have certain crosslink function and can obviously improve the gel porformance.
