In the practice of mineral process, the dotation of marmatite is one of the dii'l'iculL problems of polymetal sulphide separable flotation, which makes it difficult to increase the recovery of zinc mineral at the marmatite mine in wenshan ,which makes it even more difficult because of its ore characteristic. The experiment includes chiefly the following research in accordance with its specific ore characteristic.The flotation experiment research about unitary marmatite is carried on .The results show that the notability of unitary marmatite is better-in acid medium. The ability of collecting marmatite with bytylxanthate is very good, When the pH value equals 5.5 , the flotability of marmatite is increasing while the quantity of bytylxanthate is increasing . When the density of calcium oxide is 1. 2g/l, the pH value equals 12, only about 6. 82% marmatite is floated; Cu2- is effective activator of marmatito, and the marmatite is almost floated about 90.0 percent when the density of Cu is 3. 125 10-3 mol/1 ; The flotation experiments of marmatite mineral in WenShan can be directed by the research of flotation of unitary minerals.The floatabil ity of zinc mineral is poor because the content of iron in marmatite mine in wenshan is above 10 percent . According to expluring research , reagents system and principal work flows are determined. Open circuit f'loatabi 1 i ty process was adopted, and the recovery of /inc mineral about 46. 13 and 76.51 percent can be obtained . Ac-eroding to the work flows and conditions which are determined by open circuit experiment , the closed circuit experiment is carried on by means of middle minerals returned, the content of zinc concentrate is 45.04 percent , the recovery of /.inc is about 93. 75 percent , the content of /inc tail mineral is 0. Jri percent , this large! is ideal .So the process recommended in the laboratory and the agent system are determined .it is a basis for the industrial experiment of manual Meflotation in WenShan.
