Generally, numerical control machine (NC) machining workpieces depended on parts' program. Some cutting parameters, such as cutting rate, feed rate and cutting depth etc, are fixed on NC machining reference handbook and manipulator's experience. When they program they often set conventional cutting parameters for some things, such as machining remains, material's asymmetry and tools' wear cannot be premeditated, which will be blighted to the quality of the machining workpieces. To raise machining efficiency and make NC machine working in a perfect state, manipulator would constantly adjust feed rate and main spindle speed trim knobs in the operate panel.On the base of digesting the OPTIMIL's technology of OMAT Company in Israel, The paper summarizes the research situation and developing trend at home and aboard of the intelligence self-adaptive NC machining technology. We choose parameters self-adjusted fuzzy control algorithm and develop a practical intelligent control system applied to Hartford Machining center. The system would regulate feed rate instantly to maintain cutting power invariability depend on monitoring the whole machining process at any time. The intelligent control system enhance NC machine adaptive ability and intelligent level. The machining efficiency is improved and the cost of machined workpiece is reduced with the quality guaranteed. This control process can be looked upon intelligent simulation of the manipulator.
