Windows OS has abundant interfaces for user, and is multitask. Moreover, Windows OS holds opening system structure, so CNC system developed on the basis of it has a good opening, maintenance and extension. With Windows OS developing and popularizing, it has become a common opinion to design a NC system based on Windows platform.In this thesis, a CNC system for HS-WEDM machine with digital I/O card has been developed. In this CNC system PC is used directly to control the machine. The motion control of two dimensions is carried out.In addition, the cutting characteristics of cone workpiece and workpiece with different surface shape between top and bottom surface are studied. According to motion rules of four axes wire cutting control, the arithmetic model of worktable and top wire frame motion is established. A interpolation method of worktable and top wire frame is presented.Experimental studies have been done based on this CNC system, the result show this CNC system is feasible. |
