With the urbanization development quickening, residential areas flourish bringing on more sewage drainage. It is very difficult for water treatment plant to dispose of all sewage due to dispersive layout of residential areas. In addition, lawn, tree planting and waterscape keep raising the burden of urban water supplying, which result in the crisis of water resource. Aiming at sewage quality of residential areas and the criterion of mixed water, sewage treatment station is set up in order to treat the sewage as mixed water. It is an effective instrument to solve living sewage polluting and water shortage.The sources, character of sewage are expatiated in this paper. The experiment investigates domestic sewage by bio-contact oxidation system. Technics compare shows that the bio-contact oxidation system has high efficiencies in COD and SS removal, the highest removal rate of COD and SS is 92.1%, 86.4% respectively. The removal rate of COD is 90.1% HRT equal to 5.5h. The removal rate of COD is 90.2% DO equal to 4.5 mg/l. And the ratio of aeration volume to liquid volume is 6-15 to 1. The effect of test is quite ideal.On the basis of the experiment, the article discusses the feasibility of areas sewage treatment and reclamation water through technics designing, running, technic and economy comparing at the sewage treatment station of ShanDong Arctecture and Engneering Institute.
