0.03PZN-0.03PSN-0.04PMS-0.9PZT quinary system piezoelectric ceramics with various Zr/Ti ratio near morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) were prepared by traditional processing method. In order to find out the location of MPB and get some compositions having good properties, the relationship between the properties of this quinary system piezoelectric ceramics and the compositions were studied. For 0.03PZN-0.03PSN- 0.04PMS-0.9PZT (S1) ceramic system, its MPB lied in between Zr/Ti=0.445/0.455 and Zr/Ti=0.44/0.46 when the calcining process was one step calcining process. For (Pb0.96Sr0.02Ba0.02) [ZrxTiy(ZnNb) 0.03 (SnNb)0.03(MnSb)0.04]O3 (S2) ceramic system, its MPB was located in the vicinity of Zr/Ti=0.455/0.445~0.45/0.45 when one step calcining process was applied. If two-step calcining is taked, these MPB of two above system will be moved toward Zr-rich direction. The experimental results revealed that the effect of two-step calcining process was better than that of one step calcining process. So when two-step calcining was uesd ,the sintering temperature was 1260℃and Zr/Ti is equal to 0.435/0.465 , S1 was located in the vicinity of MPB and it had good properties(=1143,d33=303×pC/N, Kp=55.1%, tanδ%=0.4, Qm=1233, Tc=309℃).For S2 ceramic system, when two-step calcining was uesd ,the sintering temperature was 1260℃ and x/y= 0.455/0.445, it has best properties : =1552,d33=338×pC/N, Kp=56.8%, tanδ%=0.4, Qm=1396,Tc=278℃.In addition, the effect of Sr2+,Ba2+ co-doping on this piezoelectric ceramics and the effect of CeO2 doping on this piezoelectric ceramics were investigated respectively and the reasons of these phenomena were primarily analyzed. And the question of great loss of this material in the strong electric field was discussed.X-ray diffraction(XRD) were applied to analyze the phase of calcining powders and sintered samples. The scanning electronic microscope (SEM) was used to analyze microstructure of surface and cross section of sintered samples. What's more, the differences between isolation-pressing and dry-pressing were investigated. ...
