The fact that waste paper was used as raw material in paper industry can help to reduce the use of wood pulp and revitalize forest .However, there is a great deal of waste water come into being in the process of reclaiming of waste paper. The compositions of deinking waste water are complex, and such indexs as solid suspension, colourity and turbidity are all high and difficult to be dealed with. Effect of charge and molecular on flocculent performance of Polyacrylamide(PAM) and cationic Polyvinylformamide(C-PNVF) in deinking waste water are studied in the article to find out flocculent rules and develop the new flocculant adapted to deinking waste water. The results showed that:a)pH makes a full impact on colourity, turbidity and charge character, then affects flocculent performance of flocculant;b)Under the condition of acidity, the lower of charge density of C-PNVF is ,the higher of removing rate is.but it shows opposite results under the condition of neutrality and alkalinity;c)the rules of flocculent performance of all kinds of PAM affected by molecular are various.
