The Research On The Applications Of The Case-based Design Method In ICAID System

This paper is a branch research of Research on Internet-based NC (numeric control) Machine Tools Form Design and Humanized Interface Technologies and Implementations Based on the Design Knowledge and Users 'Knowledge, which is one of the state's tenth five-year science and technology project. The paper introduces case-based design in Internet-based NC Machine Tools Form Design System. With the analysis of the theory and experiment, it discusses the application mode of case-based design in ICAID system.Firstly, this paper discusses case-based reasoning techniques and the feasibility in computer aided design.Secondly, through participating in many NC machine tools form design practice and researching on task analysis experiment, a comparison between designers and engineers in general design process has been raised up; meanwhile, a wide cover introduction of the application mode of case-based design in ICAID system is given.Thirdly, this paper carries a deep study in the concrete application format of each function module under the system framework. The concrete content involves: construction of the case-base that comprises 2000 cases of NC machine tools form design, and putting forward a further standardized case description mode; In the case retrieve, it uses form image scale and sketch module which are good at operation and search; In the case application, it implement the function of the case reuse and the new project produce through the cooperation of mix color module, parts replacing module and collaborative design platform.Finally, the paper points out something about perfecting the ICAID system in the future.
