A Mechanism Of Case-generating And Case-retaining In CBID System

This paper is one of the thesises for the National High-technique Research and Development Projec(t863 Plan)—Research on Industrial Design Technique and Assistant Design System of Case Based Design. It is looking for a new implementary system of Case-creation and Case-retaining for computer-aided industrial design by research and analysis on case-based design and the creative ideation, and applies it in CBID (Case-based Computer Aided Industrial Design) system.As a problem-solving method based on case knowledge carrier, Case-Based Design has become a hotspot of the modern innovative design and the intelligence CAD. This paper focuses on the design collaboration of CN Machine tools with nine main domestic factories and the CBID system development. It gets started with researches on the design cognitive mode and the analysis of design thinking experiment, and mainly studies design inspired mode, case knowledge, cognition mode from designers and creative thinking characteristics in industrial design process. The author puts forward an implementary system of Case-generating and Case-retaining for computer-aided industrial design and builds case evaluation system.The paper demonstrates and optimizes a lot of Case-retaining modes and puts forward the best way to realize the case preservation for the CBID system. At the same time, it realizes the case learning of case-based design. Moreover, it could program and realize function module and case-retaining module generated by the new case of the CBID system with current computer-aided design technique. Finally, this paper discusses the maintenance of case database in CBID system, and the research on the assembly of case databases and the expansion of cases.
