In Lop Nur of Xinjing, the potassium source is abundant, but the potassium content in the brine in this region is low. In order to acquire semi-production containing more K+and NO3- ,the brine must be evaporated firstly, moreover the conditions of local climate and geologic are also suitable to build solar ponds and carry out evaporation. Because the system of the brine belongs to a complex senary system containing Na+,K+,Mg2+, Cr,SO42-,NO3-,the phase diagram of which is important to the evaporation. This paper focused on the study of the system.In this paper , the phase diagram for the system at 25 °C when NaCl saturated has been established, part phase diagram data were measured, a new method of technology calculation by the phase diagram of multi-component system had been suggested. And the isothermal evaporation experiment(25°C) and the natural evaporation experiment of this brine were carried out. Through these studies the crystallization order of salts have been studied. On this basis a proper technology was suggested for the utilization of the brine. These works provided a dependable basis for the enlarged scale experiment and comprehensive utilization of the brine in Lop Nur of Xinjing.
