An available pathway to develop new insecticides is to find new leadmolecules from plants. The Celastrus angulatus Max. is a famous species withthe high insecticidal activity and many new chemicals with β-dihydroagarofuranskeleton were isolated from its root bark. The thesis studied on full-hydrolysisand partial-hydrolysis products of crude extract from root bark of Celastrusangulatus. The bioassay results showed that two crude products of partial-hydrolysisexhibited the insecticidal activities against Mythimna separate larve and thecrude product of full-hydrolysis did not exhibited activity. All 3 crude hydrolysisproducts did not exhibit the fungicidal and herbicidal activities. The insecticidal constitutions of all crude hydrolysis products werestudied. The process of isolation and purification of insecticidal chemicals wereguided by the bioassay combined phytochemistry method, such as the columnChromatography, Preparative HPLC. Seven compounds (H01, H06, H10, H16,H17, H18, and H19) were isolated and their structures were elucidated byspectroscopic methods including FABMS, HNMR and 1 13CNMR. H01 is 1β,2β,8β-triacetoxy-9α(β-furancarbonyloxy)-12-isobutanoyloxy-4α,6α-dihydroxy-β-dihydroagarofuran, and is a novel nature product. H06 is Celangulin Ⅳ, H10and H16 are Celangulin Ⅴ, H17 is β-sterol, H18 is benzoic acid, and H19 is1β,2β,4α,6α,8β,9β,12-heptahydroxy-β- dihydroagarofuran. The insecticidal bioassay against the 3rd instars larvae of Mythimnaseparata Walker was carried out. The result showed that H01 exhibited thestrong antifeedant activity and AFC50 was 259.04μg·mL? . 1...
