Arc-spraying forming tooling is a rapid and cheap tooling technology. This technology combines with rapid prototyping technology can greatly reduce time for tool making, so it has attracted tool manufacturer. This paper focused on some key technique in arc-spraying forming tooling. The effects of spraying materials and spraying parameters on evolution of shell and its replication capacity of plaster spraying pattern were tested and analyzed, and the effects of the volume of aluminum spheres and iron spheres for the tensile strength and compress strength of the reinforced epoxy resin has been studied.Experimental results show that: the distortion and strength of the composite coat of Zn wires and 7Crl3 cored wires is little and high while arc-spraying, so the composite coat suit to arc-spraying tooling, the best technical parameter is that the air press is 0.5MPa, the spray current is 80A, the spraying distance is 240mm and the spraying voltage is 36V. The plaster mixed with 0.35%wt carboxymethyl cellulose increase the intensity and replicating performance of mold is fine. When the mass proportion of aluminum spheres and iron spheres with the epoxy resin is 2 : 1 to 3 : 1 and 3 : 1 to 4 : 1, the metal spheres can distribute in the epoxy resin composite and its casting capability is fine, the intensity is decreasing slightly.Making a inject plastic mold based on the technological processes and materials having studying, and make the products by means of the inject plastic experiment.
