| With the rapid development of traffic, transportations andautomobile industry, a great number of used and disused tires havebeen discarded, which will give rise to the serious problem ofenvironmental pollution and a great waste of resources as well if theyare not properly treated. To make rubber powder from the discarded tires would be one ofthe most promising ways for treatment at present, which will bothbring the environmental pollution of discarded tires under control andcreate a kind of regenerative resource. According to the special properties and the grinding principlesof the discarded tires, the two different types of normal atmospherictemperature grinders had been independently designed and developed:the grinding-wheel grinder and the impact grinder, on which a greatnumber of experiments and theoretical analyses were made separatelyand the corresponding mathematical model was developed. The affecting factors had been found out on the experiments ofgrinding the discarded tires with grinding-wheel grinder: pressure, the turning speed and the model of grinding wheel, and the relationsof all the above factors with the output and the average granularity ofrubber powder. The granularities of rubber powder obtained in the - ii -北京化工大å¦ç ”究生å¦ä½è®ºæ–‡experiments are 20~40 meshes. The output and the granularities ofrubber powder could be adjusted by changing the parameters of allthe affecting factors in accordance with the practical needs. Theperpendicular experiments had defined how mach all the factorscould affect and fixed the optimum conditions for combinations. The results of the experiments show that this experimentalequipment was feasible indeed. On the basis of the data from the tests, linear regression was conducted and the related regression equationwas formed. The numerous experiments of impact grinding had proved thatthis technology for grinding the discarded tires boasts of high-yield,energy-saving, no second-time pollution, simple operation, industrialized production, obtainable granularities of rubber powderranging from 5 to 160 meshes, which are adjustable according to theneeds. The rubber powder performs well and is extensively used. Themodel set for granularity distribution and kinetics will perform asguidance in the production process of grinding discarded tires withimpact-grinder. These two kinds of grinding equipment and technology open upthe new way of making rubber powder from discarded tires and lay afoundation for the future industrialized production. |
