The high molecular weight non-ionic emulsifiers with different structures were synthesized using epoxy resin (EO) and polyoxyalkylene (PEG). Waterborne epoxy resin emulsion was prepared by phase inversion. It was found by experimental study that the best emulsion effect can be obtained using the polysegment embedded emulsifier synthesized by PEG10000 and E-20 with equivalent molar ratio under 75-85℃ in the present of catalyst. The epoxy resin emulsion prepared by high speed dispersator with 11 percent emulsifier concentration has the best stability, whose average particle size was 0.3μm. Kinetic study showed those reactions between epoxy resin and polyoxyalkylene include condensation between epoxy and hydroxyl and self-polymerization of epoxy group. And the curing agents for the waterborne epoxy resin emulsion were synthesized using polyamine and modified epoxy resin gained by reaction with epoxy resin and polyoxyalkylene. It was found that the modified epoxy resin can be synthesized by PEG800 and E-51 with 2.5:1 molar ratio under 80℃ and its kinetic equation is .The modified polyamine curing agent was synthesized by reaction with triethylene tetriamine(TETA) and the modified epoxy resin with 2:1 molar ratio under 60℃ in two hours. By using this kind of polyamine curing agent the waterborne epoxy resin emulsion coating has good stability and excellent erosion prevention. The coating prepared by self-made RY-22 and PU-273 bears preferable film performance capability and the best effect of erosion prevention can be achieved when the ratio of amine hydrogen to epoxy group was 1:1.
