A complex film was prepared by grafting crylic acid and coating chitosan on Low-Density polyethylene (LDPE). The factors of preparing complex film and its wettability, moisture permeability and heat transmissibility were studied, the results were showed as follow:1 , The high grafting rate could be gotten if UV-photografting polymerization might be initiated for 5 minutes and content of photosensitizer was controlled for 1.0%. Under such conditions, films of different grafting rate could be gotten by changing the concentration of AA. The grafted film might be kintted together with chitosan, so that the firm complex film was formed.2 , The wettability of the grafted film was progressed after modification. It was found that the wettability had an equlibrium value when grafting ratio was over 2.5g/m2.3 ,The moisture permeability of the complex film was improved with the coating weight of the chitosan increasing. Because the grafted film was completely covered with chitosan and its contact angel withwater was maintained at 53°, when coating weight of film was 1.2g/m2 .4, The heat transfer capability of the complex film was decreased with the coating weight increasing.5 ,IR spectrum study revealed the presence of the AA and chitosan, and SEM showed the same result. The DSC result showed that there is little change about the softening point after modification, but crystallinity declined slightly.
