Copper is an important metal material playing a great role in national economic development. High-pure copper mainly comes from copper electrorefining. Direct current electrolysis has been used in traditional industry process. Pulse electrolysis is a new technology which can electrolyze with high current density and thus improve the quality and production of copper. This paper has investigated the influence of pulse parameters on the quality of copper and gets the suitable pulse parameters. Also main influential conditions on the quality of copper are discussed and finally ascertained. The purification of the electrolyte is indispensable during the copper electrorefining. In this paper some work has been done on it, and the effect is quite good. The process of copper electrodeposition on the cathode is both a crystal process and a electrochemical reaction. Research on its kinetic parameters has great significance on directing the practical production. Linear potential sweep method was used to measure some kinetic parameters during copper-arsenic co-electrodeposition in low-copper system. Cyclic voltammetry was also used to study the effect of content of cupric ions and arsenic ions on peak current density and peak potential of cyclic voltammetry graphs of copper electrodeposition. Many experimentals have been done in this paper and the suitable technic conditions of making pure copper with high current density by pulse electrolysis is got. And this will be helpful to ameliorate the traditional copper electrorefining technology by direct current electrolysis.
