Sepiolite is an inorganic nonmetallic mineral. It has special structure and composition, which provides it with good absorbability, rheological, catalyzing properties, heat-resistance and corocorrodibirity-proof. For these excellent properties, it is widely used in many fields. To apply these properties, this paper studies on making high-temperature resistance paper and filter paper of cooking oil by using papermaking principal and equipments.In the first part of the paper, it is discussed about fiber analysis and the development of the high-temperature resistance paper. It can be divided into two kinds of paper-completely inorganic fiber paper and incompletely inorganic fiber paper-according to the temperature it bears. The best technological conditions concluded through the experiments are: I completely inorganic fiber paper: sepiolite: fiberglass=60:40 latex: Na2SiO3, 15 %(to fiber dosage). II incompletely inorganic fiber paper: sepiolite: fiberglass=60:40 softwood pulp: 4 %( to fiber dosage) latex: 10% (B-1 type) .To manufacture the filter paper of cooking oil with sepiolite is studied in the second section. The filter paper can effectively remove harmful bacteria and impurity from fried-oil .The best conditions of the experiment by using softwood and sepiolite to make the fiber paper are:Beatingdegree: 13°SR, sepiolite: softwoodpulp=30:70, CPAM: 0.5%, PAE: 1%.Following the above conditions, the paper has good absorbability, air permeability, wet and dry strength.The third section of the paper is to analyze properties of miner fiber papermaking. The regular retention and drainage system such as CPAM, CS and Compozil also have an effect on the sepiolite pulp. Less beating time, activation, lower consistency and higher temperature are beneficial to drainage.The paper studies the feasibility of using the miner fiber in papermaking, which has great realistic and economic interests for exploring the fiber types, developing the process and taking advantage of the rich sepiolite resources in our country.
