After practice, the author applied the software controller named MapX to build the gate for the GIS and popular tap software, to tap and apply the general GIS functions, to exert entirely itself advantage of the GIS software named MapInfo Professional 6.5 and the tap software named Delphi7.0 and the software controller named MapX 4.0. On the base of the C/S(client and server) constructure design, carried through the system analysis and the design, designed the space databases and the principal and subordinate databases, programmed by the OOP(Object Oriented Programming)and visualization technology, debugged and ran these programs, integrated all subsystem, so at last created the Urban Forestry Ecology Monitoring and Evaluation System. The author made apply in the Du Jiangyan City by this system, and attained some apply effect, and hope that the paper can provide some valuable reference to the modern urban forestry ecology construction and information tap technology.
