Ring rolling is a specialized rolling process for manufacturing seamless rings, in which the diameter of the ring increases as the ring cross-section decreases by rolling. It has many characteristics such as saving forming force and production cost, increasing utilization ratio of energy and material, rising productivity and widening processing range of ring products etc. It is widely employed in many industrial domains.Utilized the correlative knowledge of mathematics and theoretical mechanics, the movement measure of the rolling forming of rectangle ring have been studied that based on the ring rolling theory. And the corresponding geometrical models and mathematical models have been established. It was revealed the variation law of ring in the cold rolling process.With the rolling processing, the inside and outside diameters of ring gradually increased with the cures similarly hyperbolic and the augment speed of the inside diameter was obviously larger than the augment speed of the outside diameter. With the rolling processing, the displacement, speed and acceleration of the ring centre gradually increased in the feeding direction in the horizontal and vertical ring rolling mill. With the rolling processing, the moment of inertia which ring reeled its centre and the whirligig of ring gradually increased. It caused the rotary speed gradually decreased. And it was benefit to decrease the circle tolerance and improve the precision of final molding.The rotate speed of the guide roll has no relations to the ring dimension and movement and has relations to guide roll dimension, driven roll dimension and movement when the guide rolling is fixed. The guide roll movement includes rotation and translation when the guide rolling is unfixed. And the angular velocity of guide roll centre gradually increased in the rolling processing.The movement models of driven roll and core roll have been established. The productivity of ring rolling has been analyzed and the rolling time, the productivity of rolling and the rolling cylinder numbers have been gained in the cold rolling based on the more precise calculation models. With the rolling process processing, the rolling force gradually decreased whereas the rolling torque gradually increased in the opening rolling process. And the rolling force and torque all gradually decreased in the close rolling process. The calculations models of volume increment and distributing have been established in the rolling process. It can be used as atheoretical foundation for on-line forecasting and distributing of ring volume.The rolling forming of eccentricity ring has been studied and the range of linear eccentricity about the eccentricity ring rolling has been gained that based on the ring rolling conditions.Considered the inside and outside contour line was Archimedes spiral in the cold rolling, the forming law of rectangular cross sectional rings has been studied. And the more precise geometrical models and calculation models have been gained. The researches can be used as a theoretical and experimental foundation for the simulation of ring rolling process. At the same time, the results of theoretical analysis have a good agreement with the results of practical rolling production.
