Abstract:Ring rolling is a special kind of metal forming process,which is also named reaming or grind rolling. Ring rolling mill makes the ring blank’wall thickness decreased, diameter expanded.Eventually it will obtain a specific cross-sectional profile and mechanical characteristics. Ring rolling has the characteristics of ordinary flat rolling, profile rolling, asynchronous rolling and multi-pass rolling. And it has a variety of rolling parameters coupling characteristics. It is hard to use rolling process parameters theory to predict and verify the accuracy of rolling parameters which directly impact on product quality. Such as the temperature during ring-rolling, the rolling force, rolling moment, and stress and strain parameters et al.This paper mainly discusses various parameters of open die ring rolling.In the first,it describes the relevant literature and research results of ring rolling. It analyses the ring rolling process.It proposes several theoretical approaches. Constitutive modeling of the rolling material is established during the test.It also proposes a new generalized model for dynamic rigid-pastic deformation using the MSC.Marc.It simulates the process of open die ring rolling.It concludes that how the temperature and stress are distributed and what affects the size of rolling force and rolling moment.It concludes the method of optimization rolling time.By field test,data of mandrel roll feedrate, rolling temperature, specification et al are obtained,which appears that it is similar to the simulated data. So the model can serve as a guideance of producing.
