Along with the improvement of civilization, the health care becoming more and more important and the society invest more and more capital in preventing and controlling diseases. Nowadays, new medicament research and development turns to be a concernful field which imposes on the sustainable developing procedure of human being. Upon that, the current criterions correlative to medicament are more proper than before, at the same time, advanced specifications for pharmaceutical equipments have been raised up. However, traditional pharmacy equipments turned out to be simple, inefficient and in low automatic controlling level, mostly, they can not measure up to the current GMP criterions any more. Based on the detailed requirements of a new medicament developing laboratory in a large-scale institute of materia medica and the criterions of pharmaceutical industry as well as the powder process theory, the main purpose for this thesis is to design a new type of fluid bed dryer with multi-process functions by the means of adopting scientific design conceptions and top level design technology in mechanical & electrical system developing. In this thesis, the author try to do some research work on powder process system for pharmaceutical industry and answer some sixty-four-dollar questions, in the consequence of that, try to enrich the theory of top level design technology for mechanical & electrical system development in some degree. Fluidizing & drying, granulating, coating are necessary processes within the powder process system for pharmaceutical industry. Normally, new medicament developing laboratories need an efficient equipment provided with all these three functions, measured up to the current GMP criterions perfectly, as well as with concise structure and can be operated easily. In this thesis, the author brought forward a reasonable scheme to develop this equipment by using the integrated designing ideas and modularized designing methods. Meanwhile, the author did some research work on correlative technology for this special industry. What is more, the author focused on how to carry out the ideas of current GMP criterions as well as qualification & validation during the whole procedure of developing this equipment, wherewith, worked out a new type of multi-functions fluid bed dryer then put it into practice. The equipment proved to make its preconcerted effect. Finally, based on summarization of this thesis, further research and investigation for the future pharmaceutical powder process system are discussed.
