Research On The Technology Of Modular Fixture Rapid Design Based On SolidWorks

Along with the comprehensive application of the numerical control machine tools, modular fixtures are more and more adopted by manufacturing corporations. Thus, the efficiency and quality of modular fixture design plays a more and more important role in improving product quality and shorten its time coming into market. Meanwhile, manufacturing corporations have accumulated abundant fixture design experiences in the long time of practice, and an available and effective method is needed urgently to be established by using the valuable knowledge in order to improve modular fixture designing level. In order to satisfy this requirement, modular fixture rapid design theory and system development methods, based on CAD software: SolidWorks, are studied. The main research contendts and achievements are as follows. 1, this dissertation studies deeply the theory and key techniques of modular fixture element automatic modeling based on SolidWorks. Based on this, modular fixture component automatic modeling method is developed, which is depended on assembly restriction equations. Modular fixture element and component information model is proposed. Thus, Modular fixture element and component library is carried out, which orients modular fixture rapid design and is extensible. 2, based on the information model of modular fixture element and component, modular fixture object assembly model is established, modular fixture object assembly rule is proposed, modular fixture object assembly tactics according to hierarchy and effective assembly path are introduced, algorithm for rapidly creating assembly path is built up. 3, on the foundation of modular fixture instance structure analysis, modular fixture design theory and realization based on typical instance is proposed. Modular fixture searching model based on GT coding idea, instance organization model, instance modification and reasoning mechanism and instance storage tactics are studied deeply. 4, computer aided modular fixture rapid design system (CAMFRDS) based on SolidWorks is developed, and a case study is presented. Parts of the achievements above have been vertified in ERP/PDM sytem of Wuxi Guosheng exact mould Corp and JCPDM system of Jincheng Corp.
