Research On Resistorless Pulse Generator For Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machining Power

Pulse generator is the essential component of Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM), which performance directly determines various techniques of WEDM . Therefore ,it is always paid more attention by the researchers on WEDM. In this thesis , the development of WEDM currently has been introduced in domestic and international , the problem of WEDM has been analyzed in our country ,and the characteristic of pulse generator of WEDM has been analyzed, an resistorless pulse generator for WEDM has been put forward on the basis of advantages and disadvantages of traditional generators. DC/DC converter is the main body of the WEDM pulse generator, Which has been discussed in detail. Based on this, combined-structure WEDM pulse generator has been introduced. The generator has been designed by using parallel double-transistor forward with interleaving and transformer paralleling topology. In this thesis, the topology, principle, control scheme and parameters of WEDM pulse generator has been discussed in detail. Finally, a hardware of 60A peak current combined-structure WEDM pulse generator has been developed, and the feasibility of system has been confirmed by the experiment.
