Likening Droppills is a type of modern TCM preparations extracted from Folium syringae and dripped through scientific method, It has marked antiseptic and antiviral curative effects. But because of its bitter taste, it is a certain difficult for patients to take. In addition, TCM preparation made from extraction has hygroscopicity to some extent and its inherent quality can be influenced when such external factors as physics and chemistry change. So, coating likening drip pills, on one hand can achieve the goal of concealing the bad taste , on the other hand can play the role of resisting the moisture , isolating the external interfereing factors.We have established the best extract condition, alcohol deposition process by orthogonal experiment design. The active principles were gathered and purified through Macroporous adsorbing resins. Droppills was made by solid dispersion technics with the bases of PEG4000 and methyl siliconoil as refrigerant, which has established the optimum moulding technics. With Eudragit â…¡, â…¢ as main materials to coat the drippills. the best coating technics has been made. The output rate is high and it conforms to the standard of the Chinese pharmacopoeia. The experiment has adopted the TLC approach to take the quality research and HPLC methods to carry out the quantity analysis of the droppills , acquiring the result by measuring the content of syringpicroside ,with which we can control the quality of Likening droppills effectively.Thereby, this experiment provides scientific basis for production, the standardization of herbs and preparations were established.
