At the last score years, the application of PC had a rapid popularization and it speeded the renovation of testing/measuring and Measurement System Automation. The most remarkable event was the appearance of Virtual Instrument (VI) Conception and the development of VI technique.A set of VI system is a computer or work-station with industrial standard add in internet applications with strong functions, hardware at low cost (DAQ, GPIB, VXI, RS232 e.g.) and software used for driving that join together to achieve the functions of traditional apparatus. VI represents the radical transformation of a traditional measure system using hardware mostly to an advanced system using software as a core. The measurement system that mostly depends on software utilizes the strong functions like computing, displaying and so on of PC computer or workstation fully to heighten the efficiency. Although the prominent development of the technique of PC and IC at past twenty years, The technique of software is the real key to construct a system of VI that base on hardware which has strong functions. The new system of VI that depends on software provides innovating technique for customs and decreases the production cost at high scale. Having VI technique, we can construct the measurement and the auto system on our own demands, but not suffer the limitation of traditional apparatus with fixed functions.In the further researching course on the bio-anthropomorphic, such as the phantoms used for automobile, aviation etc. how to actualize the production of bio-anthropomorphic materials has raised several new subjects to modern manufacturing. For example, how to get the similarity of phantom and human being as many as possible during the manufacturing. The further research on bio-anthropomorphic material and phantom has important sense to increase the level of scientific research and military strength. It has performed an important role in promoting the development of medicine and improving the quality of people's live.It is an extremely important subject in the bio-anthropomorphic phantom manufacturing process when judging the equivalent of bio-anthropomorphic materials. The researching methods on the test of bio-anthropomorphic materials were not perfect as yet, and look forward further development. This articale aimed at the status about the researching development in domestic and international recently, based on Shore Hardness tester, used VI tools as a platform, took the solution scheme of VI, and realized the quantitative test of hardness and elastic modulus on the soft bio-anthropomorphic materials base on common hardware. The investment, the cost of development and maintenance were decreased at large scale. We had measured and analyzed the characteristic of soft bio-anthropomorphic material, and proved the feasibility and advantage applying the VI technique in the measurement system of bio-anthropomorphic material.The paper primary focused on the following contents:(1) Bring forward the general design and testing method of Hardness base on the principle of bio-anthropomorphic material Shore Hardness test system.(2) Test the displacement of head pin of Shore Hardness tester by using the capacitive gate transducer, implement data Conversion and transfer by the Data-Adapter.(3) Used the developing tools of VI Labwindows/CVI to program. Realized the data collection, analysis and computing by taking full advantage of the abundant function library of VI's software. Realized the dynamic test on bio-anthropomorphicmaterial by multi-threads method.(4) Based on the Shore Hardness test method of bio-anthropomorphic material, used Shore Hardness tester and millesimal gauge, put forward the method and theory of the elastic modulus test of bio-anthropomorphic material. Realized the software design of the test for elastic modulus of soft bio-anthropomorphic material by using Labwindows/CVI.(5) Test some kinds of soft bio-anthropomorphic materials, analysis the linear correlation about the data, and good results have achieved.
