Computer Aided System Of Low-temperature Pressure Vessel Welding Procedures Design

In this paper, the feature of welding process designing is analyzed based on the relevant principles by analyzing use of expert system in welding .Not only the ideas of the system designing are brought forward, but also the system framework and corresponding module function are presented. Then computer aid welding process designing system of low-temperature pressure vessel (CAWPDS) is built. CAWPDS is a type of application software for design in the field of welding. The system can not only manage process files, but also simulate expert in the welding field to instruct technician designing welding process and working out WPS files. By making use of database, the system can effectively manage welding process documents, which includes procedure qualification record, welding procedure specification. It supplies these files with the standards forms and has the functions of browsing, inquiring, maintaining and printing. Combination with tool of expert system is the foundation of consultation and explanation of knowledge. The database tool of the system of is ACCESS .It utilizes Visual Basic6.0 as development tools. It has good human-computer interfaces and can be easily operated in Windows2000.The user who has right of editing can modify and extend in order to expand the system. The control inference of system is designed into multistage model: it is convenient to control the inference of system and program, debug servicing. The explain module of system provides help and the illustration of system online in time. It is convenient for the customer to use and operate. WPS has the feature in reducing cost, shorting the periodicity for preparing technology, reducing labor intensity, improving the manage level and increasing enterprise ability of competition.
