The HSC (High Speed Cutting) is the swift well-developed manufacture technique, rising abruptly of close ten years. The high-speed cutting technique has much excellence ,for example, the cutting action effectiveness ,The process quality is high ,Be able to directly process quench stiff steel and well economy , So the production efficiency and quality of profession, such as aviation,Dies and Moulds, Motor vehicle,Light industry and Message and so on , have been remarkably improved , Process technics and furnishment also do the relevant renewal. Hence it is alike as the CNC technique , High-speed cutting and high-speed machining are considered the far-reaching technological revolution of 20 centuries in manufacturing industry .At present, the high-speed machining center and other high-speed NC machines which are adequate to the demand of HSC have presented popularization tendency, and they are also developing rapidly in our country recently. Although our country does not still make High-speed cutting installation by self, the machines become hotspot of imports in many corporations departments, and some corporationsimport quite a number of high-speed cutting installations. The high-speed cutting is one kind of brand-new cutting means. The researches in this field commence lately, the base is infirm, the holistic technique level is not tall, the development is slowly, especially the HSC machine technique and the HSC cutting tool technique drop behind comparatively, depend on the import chiefly. While in the aspects of the machining technics and parameters of HSC, because there are few practical machining and research experiment, the experience is lacking, we have no rational project in selecting machining parameters and no right ways in selecting machining tools. And there is no correlative referenced information.The paper mainly discourse upon the development of the HSC technology and the trend of its application, from the origin, development, theory, definition, virtue and shortcoming, key technique of HSC. And put forward a modern dies and moulds machining system base on the HSC technology. After investigation and analysis of application in dies and moulds machining, together with some idiographic examples, put forward some key points of application in dies and moulds machining. The main research finding is as follows:(1) From the development instance of manufacturing industry, the paper sums up the history backdrop of HSC technique what springs up? It analyzes the theory, definition and traits of HSC technique more systematically, casts back the origin and development of HSC technique.(2) It puts forward a system structure of a modern dies and moulds machining system base on the HSC technology, then studies the key technique and conditions of application.(3 ) It puts forward some key points of the application of HSC in dies and moulds machining, which include the purchase of the HSC machine tools, the controlsystem, the CAM software ,and the establishment of the HSC machining etc. Particularly it offers some data and diagrams of the HSC machining, according to the research and analysis in the HSC machining technics, cutting parameters of the main material of dies and moulds.(4) According to the analysis of the representative examples which the HSC technique applies in machining the plastic injection moulds, punch dies and motor vehicle covers pressing dies, it confirms that the application preponderance of HSC and the foreground during the manufacturing industry in further.
