The normal flotation processes fluorite is complicate. According to this problem, thedissertation uses the packed flotation column —a new flotation equipment —to processfluorite and to make experiment investigations. The investigations involve two contentssuch as simplifying craft process and the flotation characteristics of packed flotationcolumn. To the characteristics of packed flotation column, the dissertation investigates theindex degree and gas-flow in the packed floatation column.The contrast experiment of normal floatation and packed floatation of fluorite shows,adopting the packed floatation column to choose fluorite, through one whets and onechoosing, can acquire 98.46% CaF2 and its high recovery rate 91.52%. This index hasattained and exceeded normal floatation index by one thick, one sweeping (98.27%CaF2,the recovery rate 90.55%) This investigation result provides a new technique of highefficiency, low energy consumption for simplifying craft process and replacing theagitation floatation machine.The experiment of index degree in the packed floatation column shows, the mineralsyrup presents the layering phenomenon in the pillar body, and from low to top, the coloris more and more shallow, and at the top, the color has become snow-white, and at thistime, the index of fluorite concentration is the highest. This is decided by the shape of thepacked floatation column.The experiment of gas-flow investigates the regulation that concentration index in thecolumn varies with the height. It shows, the unique even water-flow in the packedfloatation column provides good conditions for the collision of gas and the mineral particle,and the gas rises in the column slowly, the time it lingers on grow. And this strengthens thecollision rate of gas and the mineral particle and makes the flow steady and makes the timewhen the mineral syrup lingers in the column alike. The foam layer is thick and they rise inpushing. What's more, the cleaning function of the top pour-water avoids the clippinggangue, can make the fluorite concentration concentrated again.
