Fluorite is a very important strategic non-metallic mineral resource and one of the dominant minerals in our country. It plays a crucial role in China’s economic development.Calcite and other calcium-containing minerals is the main tailing,which is hard to separate from fluorite ore.Although a lot of research are carried out for fluorite floatation.Calcite and other calcium-containing minerals separated from fluorite ore is still a difficult task.Since fluorite ore from Nanyang city is micaceous and a typical calcite-type.First,chemicalmulti-element analysis and XRD diffraction analysis conduct,and thenflotation tests of fluorite,calcite and mica is conducted in systems of different fluorite reagents.Then,actual ores floatation tests are carried out on the basis of the pure minerals flotationtests.The main research contents and results are as follows:The results of chemical multiple analysis and X-ray diffraction analysis on Nanyang fluorite ore show that the useful mineral is mainly fluoritecontaining 49.44%,gangue minerals are mainly calcite,mica,quartz,feldspar,dolomite,followed by a small amount of kaolinite,sphene,apatite,which contains 8.14%calcite,contains 22.18%mica.The results of pure minerals experiments show that sodium oleate has excellent collecting capability but poor selectivity on fluorite and calcite,poor collecting capability on mica.Sodium hexametaphosphate shows the best depressing capability to the calcite,water glass inferior,sodium carbonate,sodium fluoride and sodium sulfide the worst.Sodium carbonate is a better p H regulator and has a synergistic effect depressing calcite with water glass.Calcium ion and magnesium ion have a negligible influence on the floatation performance of the pure minerals.Iron ion and aluminum ion have strong depressing capability on fluorite and calcite, and selectivity activate on mica.Fluorite and calcite are inhabited stronger by iron ion than aluminum ion,but mica activated weaker.Calcite are selectivity inhabited strong by the acidize water glass.The inhibition of acidize water glass is the better when the ratio of water glass and sulfuric acid is 1:1.And the higher the modulus of the acidize water glass, the stronger inhibitory effect on calcite, but the solubility worse.The actual ore flotation optimizationtests in laboratory by flotation cell conduct.Roughing reagent system is established as follows: thepulp temperature 35℃,the pulp p H=9, the grinding fineness content of-0.074 mm 75%, the sodium carbonate dosage 600g/t, the sodium oleate dosage 300g/t,the water glass dosage 2500g/t, the sodium hexametaphosphate dosage300g/t.After a rough and eight concentration open flowchart conduct,the final concentrate is required,grade 97.77%, recovery 38.67%.The actual ore semi-industrial flotation tests in flotation columns conduct. Whenthe throughput 0.3t/h, the circulating pressure 0.22 MPa, the sodium carbonate dosage 600g/t, the sodium oleatedosage 400g/t,the water glass dosage 2000g/t.”one roughing and eight concentrations”flotation columns close circuit flowchart flotation tests are carried out.the final concentrate is required,grade 97.59%,recovery 87.05%.
