Polymer has been applied extensively to electrical and electronic insulation. Study on the nano-materials has been in ascendant. The nano-materials have been widely used in all fields of our production and living. As a new product, the composite materials of organic and inorganic nano-hybrided are interested greatly. The inorganic nano-hybrided polyimide has improved the characteristics of pure polyimide in heat-resistance, voltage-resistance, machine, chemical, radiation-resistance, and ageing-resistance and so on, and the application fields were greatly expanded. Thermally stimulated current (TSC) and Thermo luminescence (TL) have been widely used as the important tools to study the trap structures, storing and transporting behavior of the space charge, structural transformation and molecular motion of the polymer. Hence, this method is valuable in scientific research and technical application. In the paper, a traditional setting of measuring TSC is improved by ameliorating sample room and assembling liquid nitrogen cooled system, which can analyze exactly sample in detail. It is proved by practice that the instrument has the virtues of high automation and easy operation, and the results gained by the instrument are true and reliable. The unit was used to measure several different samples of nano-hybrided and pure polyimide. The TSC spectrum was obtained under different polarized field strength, different corona time and different ambient conditions. A few sample parameters were gained including activation-energy, frequency-gene and dynamics-progression. A complex distribute of trap was found by using the auto-resolving method. The structure parameter information in the experimentation curve of sample was analyzed, and a few of important conclusion were acquired.
