This essay is to study numerical simulation applied technology implemented in typical forging parts of railway freight car manufacturing industry, present various theory in the process of press numerical simulation in terms of mechanical model, material, contact and elements, etc. The soft ware package of DYNAFORM/LS-DYNA on the basis of none linear explicit calculation method is adopted in the process of press numerical simulation. This essay focuses on numerical simulation research on several typical forging parts to freight cars, among which research on numerical simulation in the process of side plate of the box car forming proves the successful application of simulation technical know-how in forging procedure schemes optimization. As the real dies and fixtures are much more expensive, it is impossible to verify various procedure schemes with real dies and fixtures, while various results for each scheme are shown in the computer vividly with numerical simulation method. Numerical simulation study on bogie spring support plate forming demonstrates successful application of simulation technology in product procedure review, FLD curve is the major means of judging smooth forming of the part. Numerical simulation research on forming of 10 inch brake cylinder indicates that simulation technology not only performs smooth simulation calculation in multi-step forming, but also plays a role in material optimum selection. Furthermore, this essay is to describe simulation and research on various material parameters of barrel type parts deep drawing and square deep drawing impacted by numerical simulation technology, it shows that various material forming parameter will have a certain impact on deep drawing against the blind pursuit of high data of material forming feature parameters in practice. It also demonstrates plate ansotropic R effects on forming by method of numerical simulation.
