The nanosized CuCl was prepared and used as the direct synthesis of triethoxysilane via Si-gaseous ethanol reaction in solvent. Effect of reaction temperature, the amount of catalyst, the Si particle diameter, the ethanolvolume, pretreatment temperature of catalyst and the solvent were studied, experimental results showed that they could highly affect the reaction.The catalyst of CuO,Cu(OH)2, Cu2O were prepared respectively and used as the direct synthesis of triethoxysilane respectively. Experimental results also showed effect of the reaction condition on selectivity of triethoxysilane. Element composition of catalyst is mensurated by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Catalysts were characterized by XRD and TEM, we found that the size of CuO was 11nm, Cu(OH)2 was 18nm, Cu2O was 14nm; also ,we discover that the activity of catalyst is related with crystal from and lattice of catalyst, in other words ,it is the structure of catalyst that decide activity of catalyst.
