Chongqing fulin is the famous producing area of mustard tuber. In the manufacturing process of the mustard tuber, there are about 350,000,0 ton mustard tuber wastewater with high salinity, high nitrogen concentration and high organic concentration produced. And the water environment was graveness threatened because these wastewater are discharged to the Three Gorge reservoir area. Due to the salinity restrain the activity of the microorganism, the treatment of the sanility wastewater became very difficult, and it is urgent to study the treatment technique because of the lack of efficient treatment technique to these wastewater, especially the technique vacancy in the high nitrogen concentration and phosphate concentration with high salinity. This paper aimed to empolder the technique of nitrogen and phosphate removal in the mustard tuber wastewater with high efficiency and low energy consume. In allusion to the quality of the mustard tuber wastewater, the high efficiency halophic bacteria was selected and enriched from the bloat mustard tuber wastewater for the first time. The microorganism can get a better adaptability to the high salinity when the halophic bacteria was inoculated in the reactor. And the SBBR (sequence biofilm batch reactor) was selected as the process of the treatment the mustard tuber wastewater through the experiment. The influence of the factors such as organic loading rate (OLR), nitrogen loading rate (NLR), DO, temperature, pH on the effect of the nitrogen removal of SBBR reactor in the condition of high salinity was studied.and the optimic operation condition and the approach of the nitrogen removal from the mustard tuber wastewater was confirmed. In addition, the enhence of the phosphate removal of the SBBR reactor and the low organic of anaerobic effluent wastewater in the combined process"ASBBR+SBBR"was also studied. The main conclusion was showed as follow.(1) Compared with the halophic bacteria selected from the salina and the city wastewater, the halophic bacteria selected from the bloat mustard tuber wastewater has a better growth capability and show a better adaptability in the high salinity.(2) Because of high dissolved organic concentration in the mustard tuber, it can cause the sludge bulking of the filamentous organism in the SBR reactor. In addition, it was found that there were a great many of filamentous organism proliferating on the biofilm in the SBBR reactor. But there were no sludge bulking to affect the effluent quality. So the SBBR reactor was equal to treat the mustard tuber wastewater.
