The research and application of the electrochemical method of metal have already had a history of more than 100 years so far, but this effective and economic antiseptic measure is it can only apply liquid electrolyte or of the corrosion environment (such as the soil) taking this as conductive component part to think, namely the metal structure protected must be soaked in the electrolyte solution;The electrochemical method can not be used to protect for metal structure in atmospheric environment. And the danger caused toward corrosion of the metal of atmosphere is quite serious.The purpose of this subject is to solve the problem that cathodic protection of metal in the gaseous phase environmenting. For this reason, we have carried on the research work of the following aspects:First regard water soluble polyurethane resin as the basic material, montostone as the dose materials, we develop the coating of solid electrolyte known as fast ion conductor,named CP-F1. Coat this kind of coating on the metal surface evenly, can form the ion passway among the negative pole and positive pole.Second we develop the conductive coating of positive pole matched with the CP-F1 solid electrolyte into, coat it on CP-F1 surface evenly, form an intact electrolytic pool: The conductive coating as the positive pole, the metal as the negative pole , between the two poles is the solid electrolyte coating. Link the positive pole in the electrolytic pool with positive pole of the outer power, the defeats of negative pole and outer power are linked to very much, adjust the voltage of output of the outer power, polarize negative pole (metal ). In this way the metal has been protected, is called the gaseous phase cathodic protection.Third in order to determine the size of the electric potential used for protecting , need to choose a kind of comparison electrode. But in the solid electrolyte environment, there is not ready-made comparison electrode that can be chosen. So, we have developed the comparison electrode of a kind of graphite related to the CP-F1 solid electrolyte, and have proved its dependability.Forth through the experiment we have confirmed two important parameters that cathodic protection in solid electrolyte environment and regard the graphite as the comparison electrode--the minimum protection electric potential and the minimum protection density of electric current of uncovered metal.Through the research of the above, we have formed a set of intact and practical technology of gaseous phase cathodic protection. This technology can not merely protect the valid negative pole to the metal structure of exposing in the atmospheric environment, and still can carry on effective protection to the metal component that normal cathodic protection can not act on.So this research has higher academic value and using value.
