Simulated organic gas absorbing wastewater treatment by electrolysis and Fenton reagent were conducted. The using posibilities in engineering of these two processes were also studied. In electrolysis process, continuous time, electrolyte concentration, different electrolyte, cell voltage, electrolysis currunt, initial pH, pollutant concentration, such impact factors had influenced the removal rate of organic pollutants in wastewater. The experiment results showed that the electrolyte concentration was the most important impact factor of all. The best electrolyte concentration was 3.8mmol/L. The different eletrolytes of NaNO3, NaCl, NaCO3, NaOH and initial pH had little influence in electrolysis processes. On the best condition, the removal rates of isoamyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and acetone were 80%, 60% and 65.1% respectively.Reducing the volatilizing rate, the electrolysis removal rates were 62.6 %,44.2% and 32.2%respectively. The power consumption was 0.247kW · h/L .By electrolysis treatment, organic pollutants were thoroughly oxidized to H2O and CO2. Middle product were not occoured, so electrolysis technology was "environment friendly technology".For Fenton reaction, initial pH was one of the most important impact factors. The mole ratio of H2O2 and Fe2+ was another most important impact factors. The best initial pH was below 4.2 and the best mole ratio of H2O2 and Fe2+ was 1.55, that had obtained throngh experimental treatment of isoamyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, acetone, ethyl acetate and tetrahydrofuran wastewater by Fenton reagent. Reagent consumption of H2O2(30%) was 1.67ml/L. Reagent consumption of 7.FeSO4 was 2.947g /L. By Fenton reagent treatment, isopropyl alcohol was transformed to another substance, isoamyl alcohol and ethyl acetate were oxidized to H2O and CO2, some middle product were occoured, acetone and tetrahydrofuran were thoroughly oxidized.By technological and economic comparison, Fenton reagent method had betterengineering prospect than electrolysis method for organic gas absorbing wastewater treament.
