This thesis focuses on The SW-U cracking installations of ethylene of hazardous factors, detrimental factors and the extent of hazard in each project as mentioned above. Proposals for preventive measures against different hazards and detrimental factorswillalso be made.To achieve the goal of safety conducting the installations assessment systematically, scientifically and wholly,according to the production characteristics of the installations.This paper have chosen the qualitative and quantitative method. It includes analysis and assessment of the project hazardous and harmful factors.quantitative assessment of fire, explosion and poison indices, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis Fault Tree Analysis, analysis of accident effects and comprehensive assessment, etc.First,quantitative analysis of fire and explosion indices is to be conducted for each unit according to the US DOW method, in order to determine the hazard level and analyze the acceptable hazard degree.Second.Failure Modes and Effects Analysis of the installations has be conducted in order to find out the potential operational accident-causing faults, hidden accident areas and possible consequences, so that appropriate emergency measures could be taken.Otherwise,This paper have chose Fault Tree Analysis farther, To find out major hazardous and detrimental factors and main conditions for the occurrence of hazards and detrimental consequences in operation of the project.Withal,The Norwegian DNV SAFETI software will be used to assess the hazard degrees of leaks, fires,explosions by accidents. Through quantitative assessment of possible accidents, we can determine the affected scope of such accidents in order to prevent the occurrence of serious accidents or reduce the accident scale.Considering,thru analysis and estimate of the cracking fumace,To propose safety measures for removing,preventing and reducing potentiality of hazard existing in equipment,to provide guidelines for safety at the stages of design, production and operation of equipment.
